Contemporary Garden Design with Historic Character
This private garden was created for a beautiful 1912 property. The design respects the home's original character while introducing a naturalistic planting approach with a contemporary spatial expression.
The mature oak became the starting point for the design. Planting beneath its canopy softens the transition between architecture and garden while strengthening both the site's historic identity and its ecological value for the future.
Flowing Planting Beneath a Mature Birch
A mature birch defined the conditions of this garden — light shade, dry soil and strong root competition. Rather than fighting these constraints, the planting was designed to work in harmony with them.
Carefully selected drought-tolerant species create movement, texture and seasonal interest throughout the year. Natural stone was incorporated as a structural element, while evergreen groundcover provides a calm and cohesive base for the planting.
