The design honors the character of the house while introducing a naturalistic yet structured planting style. A magnificent oak guided the layout — the planting around its roots blends meadow and garden, supporting both heritage and biodiversity.

This design began with the site’s defining feature — a stunning, mature birch tree. The challenge: to create a planting scheme that not only tolerates shade and root competition, but thrives alongside it.
Carefully selected perennials and grasses bring rhythm, texture and year-round structure, supported by improved soil and preserved stones as natural accents.
